The Onamag are an indigenous people from the eastern coast of Canada, part of the larger Mi'kmag nation. This paddle is a result of collaboration between 7 master artists during the 2022 Hawaii Artist Collaboration. It consists of a Podocarpus wood paddle with a Koa bottom cap, copper, and brass Mi'kmag from the Atlantic Gulf of Saint Lawrence, next to Newfoundland.
