Brad Lewis Photography
Artist’s Statement
“The goal of my photography is to connect the viewer to a deep appreciation for the natural world. I utilize the movement, light and texture of volcanic activity to open human emotions to the pulse the planet. Kïlauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawai‘i is my primary subject - nowhere else is creation happening so dramatically. These visual reminders that the Earth is alive and fulfilling its own agenda continue to be my inspiration. It is my desire to generate similar inspiration in others by making photographs that capture this essence of raw power, creation and beauty.
