A Daniel Moe glass sculpture in the shape of a fish hook with depictions of the demi-god 'Maui'.  'Maui' is #1 of 50 one-of-a-kind fish hooks to be created.  

The Legend of Māui tells of a mischievous and cunning demigod hero from polynesian mythology, known for performing feats that benefited humanity.  His most famous exploits include using his magic fishhook to raise the Hawaiian Islands from the ocean and trapping the sun with ropes to slow its journey, allowing for longer days. Māui's stories vary across different Polynesian cultures but often portray him as a trickster, a cultural hero, and a figure with a deep connection to magic and his family.
